Playoff Games ending in a tie will be resolved in the following manner:

Age Group Lineups
U-8 5 v 5
U-11 6 v 6
U-14 7 v 7
U-18 7 v 7
The players selected to play during the overtime period do not have to be on the field at the end of regulation. Each team will have a 5 minute intermission after the end of the regulation game. The Referee(s) will then conduct a coin toss. The winner of the coin toss can elect either to kick off or they can select the goal they wish to defend, not both.
  • There will be no substitutions. The only exception will be for an injured player. If the injured player leaves the field and is substituted for, the injured player cannot return. Fatigue is not an injury.
  • No player is permitted to use their hands to prevent a goal. In the event that a player uses their hands to prevent the opposing team from scoring (defined as a ball traveling either in flight or on the ground in a direct path to the goal), that player will be red-carded for denying a goal scoring opportunity and the offending team will lose a player for the duration of that game only). Should the offending player's team win, that player IS allowed to return for the following game. (Red card rule of next game suspension is not applied.)
  • Penalty Kicks - the defensive team will be allowed to place one defender in front of the goal on a penalty kick and that player is prohibited from using their hands to prevent the scoring of a goal. If the player uses their hands the red-card rule above will apply. The kick will be retaken.
  • There are no timeouts.
  • The team which scores first will win.
The overtime period will play uninterrupted until a winner is determined.
