2008 Certification
Once you have completed the certification course and passed the test, email if you are interested in being a referee for the North Carroll Soccer Club.

Those who are certified as USSF referees are given first consideration for game assignments. It also enables you to referee in tournaments held by various organizations throughout the year. Do not let your certification expire!

Additional Things you need to know:

  • Referees are paid to do games.
  • You must purchase your own referee uniform(s) and equipment. Depending on the quality of equipment that you purchase and if you elect to buy Cold Weather gear you will spend between $75 and $150. You will need a shirt(s), shorts, referee socks, red and yellow cards, portfolio, whistle(s), timepiece, flags (for upper level games) and black shoes.
  • I would recommend that you be at least 13 years old although I have seen younger referees. Adult referees are always welcome.
  • You also must attend an annual 5 hour re-certification class to maintain your certification and pass a refresher test. This in the past has cost $25.00.
  • If you have further questions you can e-mail me at or feel free to approach me during the day while I am around the fields.
